Patents

Why did we start to file our own patents? From the desire to respond to our customers’ complex requirements and challenging requests. They were the ones who inspired our research team to come up with new ways to make products that would perform even better in all weather conditions.

Meeting, listening, and dialogue are the three ingredients of our innovative patents.

The M.A.N.T.T. patented system for melting snow

M.A.N.T.T. is the acronym for Meccanismo Anti Neve Tetti Telescopici (Anti-Snow Telescopic Roof Mechanism), an international patent that we developed in 2001 and which our customers continue to find really useful

M.A.N.T.T. is a mechanism that can be integrated into our First Class telescopic covering and which can support from 40 cm of snow (with the standard version) up to 80 cm of snow (with the addition of a reinforcing structure). Thanks to M.A.N.T.T., you will save time and reduce the cost of maintenance and cleaning the roof after heavy snowfall because when a certain depth is reached, the mechanism heats up and melts the snow.

Why fit your telescopic covering with the M.A.N.T.T. patent system?

  • The mechanism continues to operate well, even in very cold temperatures
  • It is resistant to strong winds (up to 120 km/hr)
  • It is also suitable for areas prone to hurricanes and earthquakes (e.g. California)
  • It is waterproof
  • It has a sound-absorbing effect that reduces internal reverberation
  • It is long-lasting, thanks to its PVC coated aluminium structure, and the use of stainless steel bolts for assembly
  • We can install the telescopic covering with the customised integrated patented system to meet your exact requirements.

Our telescopic coverings are ideal for large terraces, hotel and restaurant rooftops, and large open spaces in general, such as swimming pools and conference rooms in countries with a harsh winter climate, where snow falls are frequent.

Motor certification

The motors used to drive the retractable mechanisms are all certified to UL 1004-Electric Motors for the USA, CSA C22.2 No. 100-95 for Canada and CEE standards for Europe.
